Sustainability is a consistent principle for us – also in a social sense. Children, teens and young adults take part, individually or together, in various school internships and work integration projects. We use the unique learning spaces in nature for education and personal development, which makes sense and brings joy. In winter, the focus is on the workshop and the barn, while in spring, projects include chick raising, plant cultivation, and garden design. In summer, the focus is on caring for the plants, and in autumn, the harvest is collected and processed. But there is even more to come.

Interactive learning with heart, hands, and mind

Experiential education and organic agriculture

Nature as a classroom brings learning to life: young people learn about the value of food, understand ecological connections, and gain deep insights into the cycle of nature. Personal responsibility, self-confidence, solution-oriented thinking, teamwork, and sustainability are encouraged. Values such as respect, mindfulness, empathy, and responsibility towards plants, animals, others – and not least towards oneself – take centre stage. Our sustainable energy concept is also of interest for upper-level students.

We create tailored experience packages

One day and multi-day programmes

In spring and autumn, various local school classes visit us, while in summer primarily youth groups from Italy and Germany come. Our one day and multi-day programmes are designed together with experts on site. They are specifically tailored to age and group objectives, and take place in the fields and arable land, in the barns with the animals, and in the processing areas. Not to forget: children love the motor skills playground, the big garden, and the barns with the animals to pet and cuddle.

Our centrepiece

Individual projects

We not only work with local schools, but also with social institutions such as the Brixen Children’s Village and the social cooperative EOS. Adolescents with behavioural problems are referred to us by such institutions for various reasons – diagnosis, family problems, school refusal, etc. –. The social pedagogue provides new perspectives, works with them on their goals, and facilitates professional orientation. Around 25 young people have been supported so far. During their time at the arieshof, individual talents and potential can develop freely. The personality and motivation of the individual are encouraged, and self-confidence is strengthened.

“Educationally valuable”

Agricultural support projects 2025

Currently, five individual projects each require an average of four hours of support per week. They run for approximately one year. Several internships are also planned, such as with students from the home economics school or assisting in spring and summer. New this year is the Somsta Gruppe (“Saturday Group”) project, initiated by the Puster Valley District Community. On ten Saturdays, a socio-educational group of young people aged 10 to 14 visits our agricultural estate and experiences nature-based, social learning.
